Your front desk,never on hold.
Notanai answers your clinic's phone around the clock in your patients' languages. It books, moves and cancels appointments into your open times, sends reminders, and tells anyone with an emergency to call 911. It never gives medical advice, and it asks only what booking needs.
Pilot program: we're working with a small number of clinics while our privacy review is finished.

The calls that tie up your front desk, handled.
Keep your number. Forward it when the line is busy or after hours, so your staff still answer first.
Book, move, cancel
Into your open appointment times, by visit type. Existing appointments are found by the patient's own name and number, nothing more.
Reminders
A text the day before every confirmed appointment, with an easy way to move it, so fewer slots go empty.
Renewals and waitlist
Prescription-renewal visits, forms and notes, and a new-patient waitlist when you're full.
Front-desk screen
Every request appears on your screen with a text. One tap confirms it and the patient is texted.
Built to ask less, not more.
You're the custodian of your patients' information; we act as your service provider. Here's exactly what the assistant does and doesn't do.
| Topic | What Notanai does |
|---|---|
| Medical advice | Never. No diagnosis, no "is this serious", no medications or results. The doctor or nurse handles those. |
| Emergencies | Chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, severe bleeding: "hang up and call 911". Mental-health crisis: 988. |
| What it collects | Name, phone, visit type, time, and at most a short reason category. It doesn't ask about symptoms, health card numbers or dates of birth. |
| Other people's appointments | Never confirmed or discussed. Existing bookings only for the caller's own name and number. |
| AI disclosure | Every call starts by saying it's the clinic's AI assistant; it always tells the truth if asked. |
| Where data lives | Bookings and transcripts are stored in Canada (Toronto) and transcripts are deleted after 30 days. The live conversation is processed by Google's AI service, which may process audio outside Canada; we don't keep recordings. |
| Before going live | We complete a privacy impact assessment with you and sign a service agreement that covers PHIPA. |

Questions clinics ask us.
Does it give medical advice or triage?
No. It never diagnoses, never says whether something can wait, and never discusses medications or results. Emergencies are told to call 911 (or 988 for a mental-health crisis) straight away; everything clinical goes to your staff.
Does it connect to our EMR?
Not yet. Today it books into open times you set in Notanai and shows each request on your front-desk screen for one-tap confirmation. OSCAR, Accuro, TELUS PS Suite and Jane integrations are on our roadmap.
Is it PHIPA compliant?
You remain the custodian and we act as your service provider. We collect only what booking needs, store bookings and transcripts in Canada, delete transcripts after 30 days, log access, and complete a privacy impact assessment and service agreement with you before going live. The live voice conversation is processed by Google's AI service, which may process audio outside Canada; please include that in your assessment.
Will patients know it's an AI?
Yes: every call starts by saying so, and it always tells the truth if asked. A patient can ask for a person any time.
Which languages?
More than 30, including English, French, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Tagalog, Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese.

We'll show it booking and moving appointments, go over privacy, and size a plan to your clinic.
