Step 1 of 6

Let's get you set up

About ten minutes. At the end you send your request; nothing is charged. We call you, usually within one business day. Your progress is saved on this device if you leave.

For alerts and billing notices.
At least 12 characters; a few unrelated words together works well. You'll log in to your dashboard with this.
Step 2 of 6

Your restaurant

This is what the assistant tells callers.

Your current public number.
Your own phone, never the Notanai number. It's where the assistant sends callers who want a person.
Notanai is open to Ontario businesses for now. Book a call and we'll tell you when we reach your province.
The hours below are in this time zone.

Pickup hours

Outside these hours the assistant won't take orders. You can add holidays later.
Step 3 of 6

Bring in your menu

Snap photos of your printed menu, paste it, or add dishes later. We read it into a draft you can check.

Up to 8 pages. Flat and well lit. Any language; pictures and decorations are fine.
Step 4 of 6

A few menu questions

These are what callers ask most. Your answers turn into choices the assistant always asks for.

Spice levels

Which sections should the assistant ask spice for?

Sizes

Do some dishes come in sizes (like Half and Full)? Leave blank if they don't.

Which sections have these sizes?

One add-on suggestion

After the main order the assistant can offer one thing, once. We picked likely ones from your menu; choose up to 3.

Step 5 of 6

Your phone assistant

How it greets callers, and the kitchen tablet PIN.

When the AI can't tell which of these a caller is speaking, it uses number 1. It answers any language either way.
After the greeting it answers in whatever language the caller speaks.
Either way, if a caller asks, it always says truthfully that it's an AI. It never claims to be a person.
About 2 cents each. Customers always get "received" and "confirmed" texts.
Staff use this with your restaurant code to open the order screen. Not an easy one like 123456, 112233 or a year: those are refused.
Step 6 of 6

Your first month, then your plan

Everything is prepaid: you only ever pay for what's coming, never a surprise bill.

From month 2: pick your plan

You can change it before your trial ends. Big restaurant? Ask us for a custom quote.

Add-ons (optional)

Sign the Service Agreement

Please read the Notanai Service Agreement (opens in a new tab). The short version:

  • Everything is prepaid: each month is charged in advance; use past your plan comes from credit topped up from your card (or invoiced).
  • If credit runs out or a payment fails, the AI stops taking calls: callers forwarded to it hear a busy signal until you top up or turn forwarding off. We text and call you first.
  • Month to month (annual: 12 months at 5% off). Cancel any time; the month you've paid for runs to its end.
  • The AI tells callers it's an AI whenever they ask and never claims to be a person; you can also have the greeting say it (trades and clinic lines always do). Keep your menu, prices and hours accurate: the AI repeats what you give it.

Next: you send your request; nothing is charged. We call you, usually within one business day. Once approved you pay the first month (the trial) by card or e-transfer, then we set up your AI phone number and text you when it's live. Your trial minutes start the day your line goes live. If this email or mobile number already had a trial with us, your first month is at the plan price instead. Prices in CAD, plus tax, subject to change with 30 days' notice.
